HOW HOSTING WORKS
You provide the space. We handle everything else.
XeZap installs, owns and maintains the charging hardware and software at your site. You provide the parking space and, in most cases, an electrical connection point — or no connection at all, if the site qualifies for the Off-Grid Solar Skid instead. In return, you earn a share of every charging session that happens on your property — with the exact split confirmed once we've assessed your site.

How the revenue share actually works
You don't set a price or manage billing — the app charges the driver per kWh delivered, at a rate XeZap sets for your area, and your share of that revenue is paid out on a regular cycle straight to your bank account. You never handle cash, disputes or refunds; that sits with XeZap's support team. Electricity used by the charger is billed to you at your existing commercial rate — the revenue share is calibrated to cover that and leave a margin, which is exactly what the site assessment works out before you sign anything.

The questions every host asks first.
I only own land — no business. Can I still apply?
Yes — this is the single most common application we get. A vacant plot in a good location is a complete site on its own; XeZap can build a standalone charging stop on it without you running anything alongside it.
What does it cost me to host a charger?
For the standard hosting model, XeZap covers the hardware and installation — there's typically no upfront capital cost to you. Regional franchise operators invest in their own multi-site build-out; we'll walk through those numbers once you've told us the scale you're considering.
How long does installation take?
From signed agreement to go-live is typically a few weeks for AC chargers, and longer for DC installations that need a electrical upgrade — the site assessment gives you a firm timeline before you commit.
Who's liable if something goes wrong at the charger?
XeZap carries liability and insurance on the hardware and its operation. Your responsibility is the physical site itself, the same as with any other equipment on your property — this gets spelled out precisely in the hosting agreement.
Do I have to manage or staff the charger?
No. Drivers authenticate and pay through the app, an NFC tap, or UPI — your team never has to handle a transaction. Remote monitoring means most issues are caught and diagnosed before anyone on-site notices.
Can I choose which charger goes on my site?
You tell us your goals and constraints; our site-assessment team recommends the tier that fits your power availability, footfall and vehicle mix. You're not locked into a tier you didn't ask for.
What if I want to end the agreement later?
Hosting agreements include a clear exit process and notice period — you're not locked in indefinitely. Full terms are shared before you sign, not after.
Is the process different from state to state?
The core model is the same everywhere. What changes behind the scenes is the DISCOM, tariff and connection paperwork for your state — XeZap's team handles that variation directly, so it never becomes your problem to solve.
Can I host more than one charger?
Yes — multiple bays at one site are common, especially for fuel outlets and parking operators. If you're thinking multiple sites, ask about the regional franchise tier instead.
What if my site has no electricity connection at all?
Say so on the application — our site-assessment team will evaluate it for the Off-Grid Solar Skid instead of a grid-connected charger. Plenty of good village and highway sites have zero connection today; that's exactly what it's built for — see how it works for the full picture.
How do I verify my identity and sign the agreement?
Entirely online. We pull your identity and property documents through DigiLocker, and you sign the hosting agreement with Aadhaar-based eSign — legally equivalent to a wet-ink signature under Indian law. No printouts, no courier, no in-person notary visit.
